On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27,47 - July 27, 2025), on July 23, Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi - Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments and branches visited and presented gifts to policy families in Long Huu and An Truong communes.
In Long Huu commune, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi and the delegation visited Mr. Nguyen Van Gioi, born in 1949 (in Hamlet 15), who participated in the revolution since 1965, was affected by chemical toxins and was awarded the Third Class Resistance Medal.
Then, in An Truong commune, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung (born in 1956, residing in An Dinh Cau hamlet), who participated in the revolution in 1972, is currently a 4/4-class war invalid, and has made many contributions to the resistance war to protect the Fatherland.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi expressed his deep gratitude for the great sacrifices and contributions of war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that this is the force that has contributed to the great victory of the nation, and is always a shining example for today's generation to follow, continuing to preserve and promote the tradition of patriotism, solidarity and affection.
