On May 17, An Giang Provincial People's Committee held a conference to announce the planning and investment promotion of An Giang province held in Phu Quoc special zone.
The conference was attended by Party and State leaders and former leaders. Comrade Pham Gia Tuc, Member of the Politburo, Standing Deputy Prime Minister attended and directed the conference.
Through the conference, An Giang province affirmed its determination to mobilize and effectively use all resources to successfully implement socio-economic development goals according to the Provincial Plan for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2050; promote economic restructuring towards modernity and sustainability; strongly develop industries and sectors with potential and competitive advantages; improve the productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy. At the same time, the province strives to achieve and exceed the set growth targets, creating a solid foundation for An Giang to become a dynamic growth pole of the Mekong Delta region in the new development stage.
The conference was organized with the theme: "An Giang - New Space, New Vision, New Success", expressing the province's determination to concretize planning, create new development space, improve competitiveness, attract investment and promote rapid and sustainable socio-economic development in the coming period.
At the Conference, An Giang province also announced and awarded investment policy approval decisions, Investment Registration Certificates; and at the same time organized the signing of strategic cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding on investment cooperation with domestic and foreign businesses and investors. This is an important result in the province's investment promotion and attraction work in the past time, contributing to concretizing development orientations according to An Giang province's plan for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2050.
