On the evening of November 6, the 3rd National Press Award Ceremony "For the cause of Vietnamese Cultural Development" in 2025 took place successfully at Ho Guom Theater (Hanoi), concluding a vibrant and quality season, continuing to affirm the pioneering role of the press in the construction and development of Vietnamese culture and people.
The ceremony was honored to welcome Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, representatives of leaders of central ministries, departments, branches, leaders of press agencies, researchers, and many award-winning authors.
The award is chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, Vietnam Television and the Vietnam Journalists Association. The Culture Newspaper - the mouthpiece of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism - the standing unit of the tournament in coordination with Vietnam External Communications Joint Stock Company (VRI Media), On Connect Holdings Joint Stock Company (On Media) and related units to implement.
122 outstanding works
The 2025 award received strong responses with 1,040 entries from more than 150 central and local press agencies. This shows the deep interest and responsibility of the team of journalists in the fields of culture, sports, tourism and family.
This year's works not only have a high level of discovery and fighting spirit but also deeply reflect new models and good practices in heritage conservation, building grassroots cultural life, and promoting the soft power of Vietnamese culture in the digital age.
The jury worked seriously and objectively to select the most deserving works. 122 excellent works were submitted to the Final Round Council. After the preliminary and final rounds, the Organizing Committee decided to award: 95 individual prizes, including: 5 first prizes, 15 second prizes, 25 third prizes and 50 consolation prizes. divided by types of journalism, along with the "Vietnamese Inspiration" Award category with a Special Prize awarded to Nhan Dan Newspaper. The First Prize was awarded to Vietnam Television. The Second Prize went to the Military Radio and Television Center and the Third Prize was awarded to Hanoi Radio and Television Station. Also in this category, the social media channel award went to Schannel Network and the individual award went to actor Nguyen Hung (Nguyen Quoc Hung).
Highlights of "Vietnamese Inspiration"
A new highlight of this year's season is the "Vietnam Inspiration Award" category. This category honors press products and media programs that have strong influence, arousing national pride, solidarity and creativity of the Vietnamese people. This special award was awarded to press and media agencies: Special Prize: Nhan Dan Newspaper, First Prize: Vietnam Television, Second Prize: Army Radio and Television Center, Third Prize: Hanoi Radio and Television; Multimedia channel: Schannel Nework; Individual: Musician, Actor Nguyen Hung (Nguyen Quoc Hung - Red Rain Film).
The 3rd National Press Award "For the cause of Cultural Development of Vietnam" also received support and support from the following units: Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR), MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), Hanoi City Power Corporation (EVN Hanoi), Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB Bank), Petroleum Exploration and Exploitation Corporation (PVEP).
The award ceremony ended successfully, leaving many emotional and inspiring echoes.
