On December 30, the Standing Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee announced the Decision to establish the Long Dat District Party Committee and the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Long Dat District Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
The Long Dat District Party Committee was established, including 89 grassroots Party organizations, on the basis of merging the Long Dien District Party Committee and the Dat Do District Party Committee, for the 2020-2025 term; officially operating from January 1, 2025.
The Provincial Party Committee also appointed the Long Dat District Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term consisting of 55 comrades, and the Long Dat District Party Standing Committee consisting of 14 comrades.
In which, Mr. Tran Thuong Chi - Director of the Department of Transport - was appointed as Secretary of the Long Dat District Party Committee; Mr. Tran Thanh Hung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dat Do District Party Committee - was appointed as Deputy Secretary of the Long Dat District Party Committee; Ms. Do Thi Hong - Deputy Secretary of the Dat Do District Party Committee - was appointed as Deputy Secretary of the Long Dat District Party Committee; effective from January 1, 2025.
Mr. Pham Viet Thanh - Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee - proposed that the Long Dat District Party Committee will complete its apparatus and staff, fully and seriously implement work contents according to plan, and build working regulations until the end of the term.
At the same time, well implement the work arrangement, resolve the regime and policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers affected by the rearrangement. Develop a plan, roadmap and implement the rearrangement to build a streamlined, strong, effective, competent and efficient political system.
Previously, the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee decided to establish Long Dat district on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of Long Dien district and Dat Do district. After establishment, Long Dat district has a natural area of over 267km2 and a population of over 241,000 people.
After the arrangement, Long Dat district has 11 commune-level administrative units including 7 communes (Lang Dai, Long Tan, Phuoc Hoi, Phuoc Hung, Phuoc Long Tho, Phuoc Tinh, Tam An) and 4 towns (Dat Do, Long Dien, Long Hai, Phuoc Hai).
