On the afternoon of February 20, the 23rd session of the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Council held a thematic session. At the session, delegates of the Provincial People's Council approved Resolutions related to the work of arranging the apparatus of government operations and personnel work.
The People's Council of Bac Lieu province has passed a Resolution on the reorganization of the provincial Department of Home Affairs on the basis of merging the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs with the Department of Home Affairs; a Resolution on the reorganization of the Department of Finance of Bac Lieu province on the basis of merging the Department of Planning and Investment with the Department of Finance; a Resolution on the reorganization of the Department of Construction on the basis of merging the Department of Transport with the Department of Construction; a Resolution on the reorganization of the Department of Science and Technology on the basis of merging the Department of Information and Communications with the Department of Science and Technology; a Resolution on the establishment of the Department of Agriculture and Environment on the basis of merging the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
After the arrangement, the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province has 13 specialized agencies; the departments after the arrangement officially come into operation starting from March 1.
The delegates of the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Council also dismissed Mr. Bui Quoc Nam, Director of the Department of Health from the position of People's Council member and People's Council delegate.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Lu Van Hung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Bac Lieu province - requested leaders of provincial departments and branches to immediately get to work without interruption.
