On January 22, 2026, the 14th National Party Congress continued to work all day to discuss and implement contents on personnel work of the 14th Central Committee of the Party.
Comrade General Secretary To Lam - Chairman of the Presidium on behalf of the Presidium chaired the meeting.
Comrade Le Minh Hung - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee, on behalf of the Presidium, presented the Report of the 13th Party Central Committee on personnel work of the 14th Party Central Committee.
The Congress proceeded to discuss and vote to approve the number of members of the 14th Central Committee of the Party, which is 200 comrades, including 180 official members and 20 alternate members.
Delegates attending the Congress worked at the Delegation to study and discuss the Report on personnel work of the 14th Central Executive Committee of the Party; candidacy, nomination and study of personnel documents and records.
The Presidium listened to the delegation leaders report on the results of the delegation discussions on the Report on personnel work of the 14th Central Executive Committee of the Party; candidacy, nomination, and cases requesting withdrawal from the list of candidates and nominations to the list of the 14th Central Executive Committee of the Party.
The Presidium reported to the Congress and voted to approve the election list of the 14th Party Central Committee; elected the Voting Committee; the Voting Committee guided the election.
The Congress proceeded to record votes, vote, announce results and approve the list of comrades elected to the 14th Central Committee of the Party.
Tomorrow, January 23, 2026, in the morning, the Congress Delegates will rest, the 14th Central Executive Committee of the Party will hold the first Conference; in the afternoon, the Congress will hold the closing session.
