At the same time, a general introduction of the scale and space of Bac Ninh province after the merger, the socio-economic situation and economic growth of the province in the first 6 months of this year is provided.
After the merger, Bac Ninh province has an area of 4,718.6 km2, a population of more than 3.6 million people, and the 5th largest economy in the country.
In the first 6 months of the year, economic growth reached 10.47%; exports ranked second nationwide (after Ho Chi Minh City); out output of seaweed reached more than 200 thousand tons; budget revenue reached more than 42 trillion VND, reaching 72% of the annual estimate.
National defense and security are maintained, social security is concerned, the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses has now been completed.
From now until the end of the year, the province will focus on directing the organization of Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; pay attention to removing obstacles in the process of merging and streamlining the apparatus.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Gau affirmed that after the merger, Bac Ninh province will continue to maintain and develop the close relationship with Xay som Bun province. The province will study appropriate solutions and mechanisms in the new context to cooperate more effectively.
