Accordingly, Da Nang City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quang highly appreciated the efforts of the grassroots cadres in initially operating the two-level local government model. However, he frankly pointed out many difficulties facing the city: from the large amount of work arising, cadres not meeting requirements, to limited technical infrastructure in remote areas.
In that situation, the Secretary of the City Party Committee requested the entire political system to focus resolutely and creatively in directing and operating, promptly removing obstacles, striving to achieve the highest goals and tasks in 2025 - creating momentum for the 2025-2030 term.
Regarding the operation of the two-level government model, Mr. Quang emphasized the need to implement it synchronously and effectively, especially in communes and wards after the merger, not to let confusion delay people's work.
Regarding socio-economic development, the Secretary of the City Party Committee requested to clearly identify growth scenarios for each industry and each locality, urgently specifying specific policies approved by the Central Government, including the Decision to establish the Da Nang Free Trade Zone and the International Financial Center.
The city aims to increase GRDP in 2025 by 10% or more, requiring acceleration of the progress of public investment projects, disbursement of 100% of capital, and at the same time, soon starting the construction of key projects such as: Asia Park Entertainment Area; Free Trade Zone subdivisions; Lien Chieu Port; Van Village Project.
Regarding land management, Da Nang will review the implementation of Resolution 18-NQ/TW and the 2024 Land Law, identify problems to propose timely adjustments, making land a true development resource.
In the field of social security, the city urgently reviews and issues policies that are beneficial to the people, especially: Supporting lunch for primary and secondary school students in border areas and island communes from the 2025-2026 school year; Accelerating the procurement and bidding of drugs and medical supplies for public hospitals.
Along with that are the tasks of strengthening crime prevention and proactive response to natural disasters according to the "4 on-site" motto, especially in remote, isolated and mountainous areas.
Secretary Nguyen Van Quang concluded: In the context of a huge workload, high requirements and many intertwined challenges, each cadre, leader of the agency and locality must promote a pioneering spirit, act, and reach consensus, completely resolving outstanding and pressing issues among the people.
"Successfully implementing the tasks in 2025 is not only a target - but also a political foundation for the entire 2025-2030 term of Da Nang city" - Mr. Quang emphasized.
