Secretary of Rach Gia elected Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Province

    Kien Giang - Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong - Secretary of the Rach Gia City Party Committee - was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

    On February 24, the People's Council of Kien Giang province held its 32nd session (special session) to pass a number of important resolutions of the province.

    At the session, the People's Council of Kien Giang province elected Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong - Secretary of the Rach Gia City Party Committee - to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province for the 2021-2026 term, with 51/53 votes of the delegates in favor.

    Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, born in 1971, hometown of U Minh Thuong district, Kien Giang province; participated in the revolution in 1995; has a bachelor's degree in Law; and a high level of political theory. Before being elected as Vice Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong was Secretary of the Rach Gia City Party Committee. Previously, Mr. Phong held the positions of Chief of the Office of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Giong Rieng District Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee.
