On December 11, at the Provincial Convention Center, the 17th Thai Binh Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026 solemnly opened the 9th Session.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province requested the delegates of the Provincial People's Council to discuss democratically, objectively and comprehensively evaluate the results achieved in 2024 and previous years, frankly point out the shortcomings, limitations and causes, especially subjective causes; at the same time, propose and recommend feasible and effective tasks and solutions to organize implementation in 2025 and the following years, in order to comprehensively complete the socio-economic development goals for the entire term.
Mr. Than emphasized that 2025 is a year of special importance, with many important events for the country, the year of holding Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress.
In particular, 2025 is also the year to implement many new viewpoints and policies of the Central Committee and of General Secretary To Lam with the goal of bringing the country into a new era, an era of national growth - that is, an era of development, an era of prosperity.
And to achieve that goal, provinces and cities across the country in general and Thai Binh province in particular cannot stand aside, must strive to break through and develop.
"All levels and sectors must thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the viewpoints, guidelines and resolutions of the Party, the policies and laws of the State, the Central Committee and General Secretary To Lam on strongly innovating the Party's leadership methods; the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; and identifying important driving forces to bring the country into a new era, an era of national development, for the prosperous development of the country. The head of Thai Binh province also requested that Party committees, authorities at all levels and the entire political system, especially heads of agencies and units, must make efforts with the highest political determination to carry out the above-mentioned especially important tasks in the current period...
Previously, on the afternoon of December 10, Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee held the 37th meeting of the Provincial Party Executive Committee to discuss and unify the implementation of documents of the Steering Committee summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Party Executive Committee of Thai Binh province (Provincial Steering Committee) on streamlining the apparatus in the political system according to Resolution No. 18/NQ-TW of the 12th Central Party Executive Committee.
In addition to implementing the arrangement and organization of the apparatus according to Conclusion 09-KL/TW dated November 24, 2024 of the Central Steering Committee, the Steering Committee of Thai Binh province agreed on the policy of merging Thai Binh Newspaper and Thai Binh Radio and Television Station; ending the operation of magazines and newsletters belonging to provincial departments, branches and sectors; merging the District and City Health Department into the Office of the People's Council - People's Committee of the district and city; merging the District and City Radio and Television Station with the District and City Cultural and Sports Center.
