Ho Chi Minh City - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang is assigned to be the Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Cyber Security Sub-committee.

On March 9, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee issued a decision to establish the Ho Chi Minh City Cyber Security Sub-committee.

According to the decision, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang holds the position of Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Cyber Security Sub-committee.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee holds the position of Standing Deputy Head of the Sub-Committee.

The Deputy Heads of the Sub-committees include: Lieutenant General Mai Hoang - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police; Major General Vu Van Dien - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Command; Mr. Duong Anh Duc - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

The subcommittee also has 9 members including: Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Van Bay; Chief of Office of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Pham Hong Son; Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology Lam Dinh Thang; Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Hien; Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports Tran The Thuan; Acting Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance Hoang Vu Thanh; Chief of Office of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Hong Thang; Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police Bui Thanh Truc and Director of Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center Vo Thi Trung Trinh.

According to the decision, the Ho Chi Minh City Cyber Security Sub-committee has the task of unifiedly directing and coordinating the coordination between forces and relevant agencies in ensuring network security and information security in the city.

The Sub-committee is also responsible for researching, proposing and proposing to the Standing Committee, the Standing Board of the City Party Committee and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City solutions to handle new problems arising, overlapping or not yet regulated, as well as complex issues that require the coordination of many forces in the field of cybersecurity.

Ho Chi Minh City Police are assigned to be the Standing Agency of the Ho Chi Minh City Network Security Sub-committee.
