Previously, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued Resolution No. 1592/NQ-UBTVQH15 approving the resignation of Mr. Dang Xuan Phuong - former Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee - from the position of Head of the XV National Assembly Delegation of Quang Ninh province due to job transfer.
Mr. Vu Dai Thang was appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term in October 2024.
Mr. Vu Dai Thang was born in 1975 (from Phu Dong commune, Gia Lam district, Hanoi city); Professional qualifications: Master of International Relations (Waseda Japan University), Bachelor of Economics, Bachelor of Law; High -end political theory. He used to hold the position of Department of Management of economic zones, Ministry of Planning and Investment; Vice Chairman of Ha Nam People's Committee, term 2010 - 2015.
In 2016, he was elected a Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the 12th Party. In March 2018, he was appointed by the Prime Minister as Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment. In August 20, the Politburo mobilized and assigned to appoint him to join the Executive Committee, the Provincial Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, term 2015-2020.
