On the afternoon of August 25, news from the Central Party Office said that the Politburo had just held a meeting to give opinions on the preparation for the congress of the Party Committees directly under the Central Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Accordingly, on August 25, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong chaired a meeting with the Standing Committee of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee to give opinions on the draft documents and personnel projects for the Party Committee to submit to the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Attending the meeting were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac; Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; representatives of leaders of a number of central departments, ministries and branches.
At the meeting, the Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committees of the two provinces presented draft main documents to the Dien Bien Provincial Party Congress and the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term, including: Political report, Report on reviewing the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term, Project on personnel at the Party Committee level for the 2025 - 2030 term, and draft Resolution of the Congress.
Delegates gave their opinions, focusing on emphasizing the outstanding results in the recent term, suggesting that it is necessary to clarify specific solutions to completely resolve the limitations, shortcomings, and development bottlenecks of Dien Bien and Gia Lai provinces; at the same time, suggesting and orienting tasks, solutions, experiences, and new approaches in leadership and direction for the 2025-2030 term, with a vision to 2045.
Concluding the meeting, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the important results that the two provinces have achieved, basically agreeing with the draft documents; the provinces have implemented in the spirit of Directive No. 45-CT/TW, comprehensively evaluating the results achieved in the past 5 years, frankly pointing out limitations, causes and drawing lessons.
The orientation, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025 - 2030 period demonstrate political determination, development vision, identify key and breakthrough tasks, have thoroughly grasped and concretized major policies and orientations in the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and documents issued by the Central Committee and the Politburo recently.
President Luong Cuong suggested that localities continue to accept the opinions of ministries, branches and Politburo members, especially the direction of General Secretary To Lam on Dien Bien and Gia Lai provinces in recent working sessions to complete documents and personnel submitted to the Congress to ensure meeting the vision and development orientation in the new context, in the new development space with the potential and advantages of each locality regarding the sea, forests, seaports, airports, etc., especially paying attention to building a strong political system at all levels, ensuring solid national defense, maintaining political security and social order and safety, improving the effectiveness of foreign affairs; caring for and improving people's lives, especially ethnic minorities, remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas.
The Politburo assessed that the draft documents and the Basic Personnel Project are eligible to be submitted to the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term.
President Luong Cuong suggested that the provinces urgently develop an Action Program to implement the Resolution to submit to the Congress in a clear direction of goals, tasks, resources, clear people, clear work, clear progress, clear responsibilities, and can organize implementation immediately after the Congress. Promote the implementation of propaganda work before, during and after the Congress. Assign the Central Party Office to synthesize and propose the time to organize the Party Congresses of the provinces for the 2025 - 2030 term, and submit it to the Politburo for consideration and decision.
