At the ceremony, Lieutenant General Pham The Tung - Deputy Minister of Public Security - announced the policy of the Party, State and Government on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Government on streamlining the apparatus in the political system to operate effectively and efficiently, in which the Ministry of Public Security is assigned to take on the task of ensuring aviation security from March 1, 2025.
As the host agency, the Ministry of Public Security is committed to implementing strict and effective aviation security work, ensuring continuous, safe civil aviation operations in accordance with international standards;
At the same time, it will improve the ability to respond to traditional security and non-traditional security challenges, contributing to maintaining national stability, maintaining a favorable environment for socio-economic development and international integration.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Pham The Tung affirmed that receiving the task of ensuring aviation security to the Ministry of Public Security is an extremely heavy task.
In addition to the efforts, the combat cooperation in the People's Public Security force also needs the close coordination and support of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Finance and all classes of people so that the Ministry of Public Security can successfully complete the political tasks assigned by the Party and State.
In order to successfully implement the process of receiving and operating the National Aviation Security Center, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung suggested that relevant units focus on performing well a number of tasks.
In the immediate future, to ensure a tight, smooth, and uninterrupted handover process, units under the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Construction need to coordinate closely, carefully review the entire system, mechanisms, forces, and equipment to ensure that the receipt of the task does not affect the normal operations of the aviation industry.
Strengthen the application of science and technology in ensuring aviation security, promote the application of modern technology in aviation security inspection and supervision to ensure timely detection and prevention of potential risks, contributing to building a proactive, flexible and effective aviation security system.
