The Ministry of Home Affairs proposes to establish a provincial-level labor accident investigation team

The Ministry of Home Affairs has just requested the Departments of Home Affairs to promptly establish provincial-level labor accident investigation teams to investigate accidents in accordance with legal regulations.

In response to the Minister's order, Director of the Department of Employment Vu Trong Binh has just signed and issued Official Letter No. 4787 to the Department of Home Affairs of provinces and centrally run cities on guiding a number of contents related to the establishment of a provincial-level labor accident investigation team.

The document clearly stated that, implementing Resolution No. 190/2025/QH15 dated February 19, 2025 of the National Assembly on handling a number of issues related to the arrangement of the state apparatus, the Ministry of Home Affairs has specific instructions on the establishment of a provincial-level labor accident investigation team.

According to the instructions, based on Point b, Clause 1, Article 7 of Resolution 190/2025/QH15 and Clause 2, Article 35 of the Law on Labor Safety and Hygiene, the Department of Home Affairs is the agency responsible for establishing a provincial-level Labor Accident Investigation Team.

The composition of the investigation team is decided by the Department of Home Affairs, including: Representative of the unit (department) under the Department with the function of advising on the implementation of state management tasks on occupational safety and hygiene as Head of the team; representative of the Department of Health; representative of the Provincial Labor Federation and other components if necessary.

"The Ministry of Home Affairs requests the Departments of Home Affairs to promptly establish provincial-level labor accident investigation teams to investigate accidents in accordance with legal regulations" - the document stated.
