This has caused panic among the people and may lead to conflicts between religions and believers. Voters in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province have requested solutions to manage and strictly handle the above cases.

Regarding this content, the Ministry of Home Affairs has sent an official dispatch responding to voters of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

Accordingly, recently, the Ministry of Home Affairs has also received feedback from citizens about some religious dignitaries, officials, and monks preaching superstitious sermons, criticizing people's professions, and going against Buddhist teachings, causing resentment and anger in the community...

To effectively carry out state management of beliefs and religions, the Ministry of Home Affairs has focused on directing and implementing the following tasks:

The Government Committee for Religious Affairs worked with the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Council to request the investigation, verification, and clarification of cases of statements and sermons by Buddhist dignitaries spread on social networking sites that are not in accordance with the teachings, canon laws, cultural traditions of Buddhism, and the history of the Vietnamese people; at the same time, strictly handle Buddhist dignitaries, officials, and monks who violate any of the above contents.
