Through testing, 7 samples tested positive for scoliosis bacteria were detected, these are officers and soldiers who have had direct contact with soldier Nguyen Van Nghiep.
The unit has isolated and monitored the above 7 soldiers and actively coordinated with Division 3 and other functional forces to synchronously deploy measures to prevent and control the epidemic.

Previously, at around 8:00 a.m. on February 9, soldier Nguyen Van Nghiep reported to his company commander that he had symptoms of fever, nausea and abdominal pain. The Nghiep soldier was examined, vaccinated, had a fever-reducing epidemic, was given antibiotics and monitored by the unit's medical department.
However, the health of the Union soldiers did not improve, the unit transferred them to Military Hospital 110 and then 108 Central Military Hospital for treatment. Here, doctors and nurses actively treated and treated him, but soldier Nguyen Van Nghiep did not survive.
Through the test results, 108 Central Military Hospital determined that the military officer Nghiep had out-of-hospital circulatory arrest due to acute scoliosis encephalitis shock. Immediately after the death of Nghiep soldier, to ensure objectivity, law enforcement agencies stepped in, requested a forensic examination to clarify the cause of death ( witnessed by Nghiep soldier's family) and conducted procedures according to the provisions of law.
The Military Region 1 Command sent a working group to directly meet with the family and locality to inform the incident, encourage, help the family and carry out policy work, and organize a funeral for soldier Nguyen Van Nghiep in accordance with regulations.
