On the morning of May 5, in Tay Ninh, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense organized a ceremony to award statues of President Ho Chi Minh and award Certificates of Merit from the Minister of National Defense to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
Attending the ceremony was General Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that the donation of the portrait statue of President Ho Chi Minh is not only a solemn ritual but also has profound political, ideological and humanistic significance.
Placing Uncle Ho's statue in agencies and units is an expression of respect, and at the same time a reminder to each cadre, party member, soldier and people to constantly practice, learn, and follow his ideology, ethics, and style.

General Nguyen Trong Nghia also requested the Party Committee, government and armed forces of Tay Ninh province to continue to promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; build a contingent of cadres "both red and specialized"; consolidate the great national unity bloc between the army and the people; maintain political stability, promote socio-economic development associated with strengthening national defense and security.
Within the framework of the program, the organizing committee presented a statue of President Ho Chi Minh to representatives of localities, agencies, and units in the province. On this occasion, authorized by the Minister of National Defense, General Nguyen Trong Nghia awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals in Tay Ninh province with outstanding achievements in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
