Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 1561/QD-TTg dated December 12, 2024 to reorganize the Deputy Head of the State Steering Committee for important national projects and works, key to the transport sector.
According to the decision, the Deputy Head of the State Steering Committee for important national projects and works, key to the transport sector, is reorganized in Clause 3, Article 3 of Decision No. 884/QD-TTg dated July 23, 2022 of the Prime Minister.
Mr. Tran Hong Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Transport is Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, replacing Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Transport.
The decision takes effect from December 12, 2024.
According to Decision No. 884/QD-TTg, the State Steering Committee for important national and key projects of the Transport sector is responsible for researching and proposing to the Government and the Prime Minister directions and solutions to solve important, inter-sectoral issues to speed up the progress of projects.
Assist the Government and the Prime Minister in directing, inspecting, coordinating and urging relevant ministries, branches and localities to carry out tasks on investment and construction of projects in accordance with the Resolutions of the National Assembly and the Government for the projects.
Organize the implementation of plans to implement projects according to assigned functions and tasks; closely and effectively coordinate in advising and proposing solutions and measures to implement projects; promptly report difficulties and problems beyond authority and propose solutions for the Government and Prime Minister to consider and decide.
Direct, inspect and urge project investors, consulting organizations and contractors to perform the tasks identified in the investment policies of the projects or the approval decisions of each component project to ensure construction progress and quality of the works.
