Minister of Home Affairs outlines tasks right after Tet holiday

Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra requested that units within the Ministry's agencies focus and start implementing a number of tasks immediately after the 2025 Tet holiday.

On February 3, 2025 - the first working day after the traditional Tet holiday, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra had a spring meeting with cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

At the meeting, Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra highly appreciated the Tet preparations of the leaders of the units under and affiliated to the Ministry, especially the full implementation of the directives of the Central Government, the Government, the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Minister requested that units within the Ministry's agencies focus and immediately get back to work after the Lunar New Year holiday; thoroughly educate all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to work more responsibly and with more enthusiasm to strive to excellently complete the political tasks assigned by competent authorities in the new year of At Ty.

Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra requested to focus on advising on perfecting the organizational arrangement of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies and 63 provinces and cities.

In particular, advise and carefully prepare for the first meeting of the Government Party Executive Committee, personnel work and perfect the activities of Party Committees directly under the Government Party Committee (Party Committees of Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and agencies under the Government);

Urgently and qualitatively complete the Law on Government Organization (amended), the Law on Local Government Organization (amended) and 2 Resolutions (Resolution on Government organizational structure and Resolution on the number of Government members) and complete all documents submitted to the National Assembly Standing Committee according to the assigned schedule to submit to the National Assembly for approval of dismissal and appointment of Government members;

Tasks in the 2025 Work Program; carefully prepare for the merger between the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in the spirit of solidarity, attachment, sharing, joint efforts and unity so that the Ministry of Home Affairs can continuously develop.

Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra also requested leaders of units under the Ministry to specify tasks and work for each individual; requested all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Ministry to start implementing work right from the first days of the new year, striving to excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Party and Government.

And more than ever, let us think, direct, be determined and demonstrate our highest responsibility so that we can join hands and unite to excellently fulfill the tasks, goals and requirements of the Central Committee, the Politburo, especially the Government and the Prime Minister for our state administration", Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra emphasized and expected.
