On the evening of January 30, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters, Politburo Member, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung had a phone conversation with Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Yván Gil Pinto.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Yván Gil Pinto warmly congratulated the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam; respectfully conveyed the congratulations of interim President Delcy Rodriguez and General Secretary of the Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) Diosdado Cabello to General Secretary Tô Lâm and the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam trusted and elected by the 14th National Congress.
The Venezuelan Foreign Minister expressed admiration and appreciation for the important socio-economic development achievements, Vietnam's increasingly high international position and prestige in the Doi Moi (Renovation) process; affirmed that the Government of Venezuela and the PSUV Party highly value the relationship of solidarity and cooperation with Vietnam and wished the two sides to continue to tighten and further expand cooperative relations within the framework of the Comprehensive Partnership between Venezuela and Vietnam in the new situation.
On behalf of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and General Secretary To Lam, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung respectfully conveyed his sincere thanks to the PSUV Party Leadership for sending congratulatory messages to the XIV Congress and interim President Delcy Rodriguez and PSUV General Secretary Diosdado Cabello immediately after the Congress sent congratulatory messages to General Secretary To Lam for being trusted by the Central Party Committee to be re-elected as General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam for the new term.
On this occasion, Minister Le Hoai Trung announced the main results of the 14th Congress; emphasizing that Vietnam is monitoring the situation and sharing the challenges facing the Venezuelan people, the consistent stance of the Party, State and people of Vietnam always attaching importance to the traditional friendly and solidarity relationship with the PSUV Party, Government and people of Venezuela, and at the same time affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam wish to consolidate and deepen the traditional cooperative relationship, promote Vietnam - Venezuela relations to develop substantively and effectively.
The Foreign Ministers of the two countries informed and exchanged information about the situation of each Party and each country recently; agreed to coordinate to restart and maintain the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation mechanisms, first of all the 4th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee, Political Consultations between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs; jointly review signed agreements and cooperation projects, as well as potential cooperation initiatives and projects, suitable to the strengths and requirements of the two sides to build a new Agenda between the two countries, contributing to promoting the Comprehensive Partnership, for the benefit of the people of each country, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in each region and the world.
