On the afternoon of November 12, the question and answer session ended after 2 working days.
Speaking at the end of the question and answer session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said the meeting took place seriously, with a high sense of responsibility, in the spirit of innovation, accompanying the Government, and agencies and organizations in the entire political system.
The National Assembly has completed the entire program of question and answer sessions at the 8th Session on 3 groups of issues under the main responsibility of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, the Minister of Health, and the Minister of Information and Communications.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, at the question and answer session, 136 delegates questioned, 18 delegates debated, and 80 delegates registered to speak but were not able to speak due to running out of time.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on behalf of the Government, reported, explained, and clarified further issues under the Government's management responsibility and directly answered questions from National Assembly deputies.
Also participating in the question-and-answer session were: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc; Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long; Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang; Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien.
“Through the question-and-answer session at the meeting, it was shown that the question-and-answer contents met practical requirements, were correct and hit the issues that voters, people nationwide and National Assembly deputies were concerned about; continuing to affirm that this is a direct and effective form of supreme supervision of the National Assembly,” the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
According to Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the National Assembly deputies raised issues and debated briefly and clearly, with specific questions. The National Assembly deputies frankly raised many issues with the hope that the Government, ministries and branches would continue to have more timely and effective solutions.
Ministers and heads of sectors have demonstrated high responsibility, firmly grasped the functions, tasks and current situation of the sectors and fields under their charge, clearly answered many difficult and complicated issues, frankly, without avoidance, and clarified many issues raised by National Assembly deputies; at the same time, proposed many solutions to overcome limitations in the coming time.
“Based on the questions of National Assembly deputies and the responses of Government members and heads of sectors, the National Assembly Standing Committee will direct relevant agencies to prepare a draft resolution and submit it to the National Assembly for consideration and approval at the closing session of this Session,” said the National Assembly Chairman.
According to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the question and answer session was a great success with strong commitments in direction, management and operation; requesting ministers and heads of sectors to have the spirit of "saying goes hand in hand with doing and doing right away". Promoting the achieved results, promptly overcoming limitations and difficulties, and having new solutions to more effectively implement the set goals and tasks.
