In 2026, Ca Mau was assigned a public investment capital plan of about 10,000 billion VND and has allocated 100% of the plan. The province also allocated more than 400 billion VND to implement science and technology projects, innovation and digital transformation.

Due to the lack of local sand and construction stone sources, Ca Mau is coordinating with ministries, branches and localities to coordinate material sources to serve the construction of key projects, basically meeting progress requirements.
At the working session, Ca Mau province proposed that the Government continue to improve specific mechanisms and policies for key projects; supplement central budget capital for infrastructure, digital transformation, science and technology; remove difficulties in planning, land, construction materials and support resources to implement landslide prevention and control projects.
Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai committed that in 2026, he will be determined to grow by 10%, and the province has had many solutions to develop the province's economy and society in the coming time.
Highly appreciating the socio-economic development results of the locality, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung requested Ca Mau to continue to promote industries with competitive advantages, especially aquaculture, exploitation, and seafood processing. At the same time, strengthen the application of science and technology, develop deep processing, build stable raw material areas associated with market demand to improve added value and product competitiveness; effectively exploit strategic infrastructure projects.

The Deputy Prime Minister also proposed that Ca Mau province promote investment attraction in high value-added sectors such as renewable energy, financial services, healthcare, healthcare, scientific research, and innovation; create conditions for the private economy to develop strongly in both scale and quality, contributing more to growth, because currently Ca Mau's growth is very low, the scale of the economy is small while the conditions are still very large.
Previously, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung and the working delegation surveyed production activities at Minh Phu - Khanh An Seafood Processing Co., Ltd., located in Khanh An Industrial Park. The Deputy Prime Minister wished the enterprise to continue to expand production scale, develop value-added processed products, expand export markets, contributing to solving employment and promoting the growth of the seafood industry.
The working delegation also inspected the progress of the Ganh Hao River erosion protection embankment project in Ganh Hao commune. The project has a length of 2.5km, with a total investment of 480 billion VND; in 2026 alone, 140 billion VND will be allocated for implementation. When completed, the project will contribute to protecting residential areas, limiting erosion, stabilizing production and creating a new face for the central area of Ganh Hao commune.
