Ca Mau province is preparing to collect public opinions on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units. Ca Mau currently has 100 communes and wards, after the arrangement, there are 4 wards and 35 communes. The expected names of wards and communes are as follows:
Ca Mau city has 16 communes and wards, after the arrangement, there will be 4 wards, including: An Xuyen, Ly Van Lam, Tan Thanh and Hoa Thanh.
Dam Doi district reduced from 16 to 7 commune-level administrative units, including the communes of Tan Thuan, Tan Tien, Ta An Khuong, Tran Phan, Thanh Tung, Dam Doi, Quach Van Pham.
U Minh district reduced from 8 to 4 administrative units, including the communes of U Minh, Nguyen Phich, Khanh Lam, Khanh An.
Ngoc Hien district reduced from 7 to 3 units including Phan Ngoc Hien, Dat Mui, Tan An communes.
Tran Van Thoi district reduced from 13 to 5 units including the communes of Khanh Binh, Da Bac, Khanh Hung, Song Doc, Tran Van Thoi.
Thoi Binh district, from 12 to reduce to 5 administrative units with Thoi Binh, Tri Phai, Tan Loc, Bien Bach, Ho Thi Ky communes.
Nam Can district reduced from 8 to 3 administrative units including Dat Moi, Nam Can and Tam Giang communes.
Cai Nuoc district reduced from 11 to 4 administrative units including Luong The Tran, Tan Hung, Hung My, Cai Nuoc communes.
Phu Tan district, reduced from 9 to 4 administrative units, including the communes of Cai Doi Vam, Nguyen Viet Khai, Phu Tan and Phu My.

The initial commune-level arrangement plan in Ca Mau must comply with the Central's orientation. Commune-level administrative units formed after the arrangement must ensure the standards on population size of administrative units according to regulations.
To ensure the basis for completing the Project on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, Ca Mau province will ask for voters' opinions and representatives of households before submitting to the Provincial People's Council to issue a Resolution approving the policy, submitting to the Government for consideration and submission to the National Assembly Standing Committee for decision.
