The People's Public Security Air Force Regiment will also participate in search, rescue, prevention, and overcoming of natural disasters and natural disasters; organize standing forces ready to fight.

Currently, officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security Air Force are trying their best to study, practice, improve their qualifications in all aspects, master modern means and technical equipment, build a clean and strong unit, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
The Ministry of Public Security is currently implementing the construction of the Gia Binh airport project in Bac Ninh province to serve the activities of the CAND Air Force.
About 40km from Hanoi, Gia Binh airport started construction in December 2024, expected to connect with the capital and neighboring provinces with many national highways, expressways and the Lao Cai - Hai Phong railway.

The authorities have just approved the adjustment of the Gia Binh International Airport Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. The airport is located in Gia Binh, Luong Tai, Nhan Thang, Lam Thao communes (Bac Ninh), reaching level 4E, operating simultaneously for civil and security and national defense purposes.
By 2030, Gia Binh airport is planned to have a capacity of about 30 million passengers and 1.6 million tons of cargo per year, capable of operating many types of large aircraft such as B777, B787, A350, A321 and other specialized aircraft and aircraft. By 2050, the airport's capacity is expected to reach about 50 million passengers and 2.5 million tons of cargo per year.
The new plan increases the capacity of Gia Binh airport by 5-6 times; the land area is expanded to 1,959 hectares, nearly 5 times the old plan. The expected investment capital demand is VND95,706 billion by 2030, an additional VND82,923 billion by 2050.
Currently, the Hanoi Capital region with 9 provinces, cities and a population of about 21 million has Noi Bai International Airport with a capacity of 30 million passengers per year.
According to the general planning of Hanoi Capital approved by the Government, Noi Bai will increase its capacity to 60 million visitors by 2030 and 100 million visitors by 2050, with the orientation expanding to the south. The second airport in the capital region is planned in the southern area (formerly in Ung Hoa district, Phu Xuyen).
