On January 14, the delegation of Champasak province (Lao People's Democratic Republic), led by Comrade Alounxay SounNaLath - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Champasak province, came to celebrate Tet, work and present the Second Class Labor Medal of the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Can Tho City.
Speaking at the meeting, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee Nguyen Van Hieu said that Can Tho City is very pleased to welcome Secretary Alounxay SounNaLath and members of the Champasak Provincial Delegation to visit and work.
Can Tho City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Hieu sent his warmest welcome to Secretary Alounxay SounNaLath and the members of the delegation.
Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee Nguyen Van Hieu hopes to promote cooperation between the two sides in the coming time such as: continuing to effectively implement the signed Memorandum of Understanding with many specific and practical programs to enhance the understanding of the people of Vietnam and Laos in general and the two localities in particular; promoting tourism development cooperation of the two localities; promoting the expansion of investment and trade cooperation, creating favorable conditions for businesses of the two sides to meet, exchange information and expand investment and business cooperation.
Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee Nguyen Van Hieu believes that with the joint efforts of both sides, the cooperative relationship between the two localities will be increasingly consolidated and developed sustainably, contributing to promoting the economic development of the two localities to become more and more prosperous, tightening the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general and between Can Tho City and Champasak Province in particular.
Comrade Alounxay SounNaLath wished the leaders and people of Can Tho City a happy and warm Lunar New Year 2025 and expressed his deep gratitude for the enthusiastic, warm and thoughtful reception of the Can Tho City leaders for the working delegation.
Comrade Alounxay SounNaLath hopes that Can Tho City will continue to support the development of Champasak province into a developed agricultural center of Laos.
Comrade Alounxay SounNaLath wished the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States, and the two peoples in general, and between Champasak province and Can Tho city in particular, to be forever green and everlasting.
After the working session, the leaders of Can Tho City and the Champasak Provincial Delegation held a ceremony to receive the Second Class Labor Medal from the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Can Tho City, for its achievements and contributions in the cooperative relationship and financial support for the development of Champasak Province in recent times.
