On the afternoon of February 18, the National Assembly approved the appointment of Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung and Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization Mai Van Chinh as Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh is 64 years old, from Long An province. He has a master's degree in business administration, agricultural economics engineer, and is a member of the 10th Party Central Committee (invalid), 11th, 12th, and 13th.
Mr. Chinh held many positions in Long An before becoming Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee and then Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Committee.
