Accordingly, Hai Phong voters recommended that the Government study and consider supporting policies or having souvenirs for those who have contributed to the resistance war against the US to save the country (including those who participated in fighting, serving the war), liberating the South, and unifying the country.
Responding to this proposal, the Ministry of National Defense said that in recent years, along with the socio-economic development of the country, the Party and State have paid attention to directing and issuing documents regulating the regime and policies for subjects participating in resistance, war to protect the Fatherland and performing international duties;
In particular, there are subjects participating in the resistance war against the US to save the country (Decision No. 290/2005/QD-TTg dated November 1, 2005 of the Prime Minister on the regime and policies for some subjects directly involved in the resistance war against the US to save the country but have not enjoyed the Party and the State policies; Decision No. 142/2008/QD-TTg dated October 27, 2008 of the Prime Minister on the United States to participate in the US forces to participate in the United States to participate in the resistance of the US forces to participate in the US rescue war for the country to participate The work in the army has removed and discharged from the locality).
Accordingly, in the case of subjects who are eligible, they will receive a one-time subsidy or a monthly subsidy; if they have not received health insurance, they will receive health insurance according to the provisions of the law on health insurance; when they die, the person in charge of the funeral will receive a funeral allowance according to the provisions of the law on social insurance.
This is a great concern and effort of the Party and State in the current economic conditions of the country; at the same time, ensuring a common balance between groups of subjects participating in resistance, war to protect the Fatherland and performing international tasks.
The Ministry of National Defense requested the Hai Phong City National Assembly Delegation to inspect and supervise the implementation of the above policy to ensure the right subjects and timely follow the Prime Minister's regulations.
