On the morning of March 17, in Hanoi, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chaired a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on a number of contents related to the Project on the direction of electing deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term and the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Electing National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies; progress of work to serve the amendment and supplementation of a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution.
Speaking at the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated that the contents considered at this meeting are to serve the work of streamlining the state apparatus in the next phase.
The National Assembly Chairman requested that the National Assembly agencies continue to promote a sense of responsibility, closely coordinate with Government agencies, carefully prepare the contents to be submitted to the Politburo and the Central Executive Committee to ensure progress, quality and requirements.
In addition, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man also proposed to strengthen propaganda work, political ideology among cadres, party members and people, unifying both the awareness and action in implementing the Party's policy for the development of the country.
