Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien requested agencies to proactively prepare early and remotely for the Second Session of the 16th National Assembly.

On May 7, in Hanoi, Politburo Member, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien chaired a meeting between National Assembly Leaders and the Standing Committee of the Ethnic Council, Standing Committees of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Office on a number of key tasks in May.

Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien requested the Delegate Affairs Committee to preside over and coordinate with the Ethnic Council, Committees, and the National Assembly Office to urgently develop outlines and plans to advise on the establishment of a Steering Committee (if necessary) or an Editorial Team to summarize the implementation of Resolution 18-NQ/TW on "Some issues on continuing to innovate and streamline the organizational structure of the political system, operating effectively and efficiently" and summarize the implementation of 2-level local government.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also requested to continue to consolidate leadership positions at the department level according to the direction of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and the Chairman of the National Assembly. Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien clearly stated, "it is necessary to fully promote the role and responsibility of the head, and the democratic will of the Party Committee".
