Unity, joint efforts, and consensus to overcome difficulties and challenges
In the joyful atmosphere of the first days of the Binh Ngo New Year, on the morning of February 24, at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong met and wished Tet to all officials, civil servants, public employees, and laborers (CBCCVCLĐ) of the Presidential Office.
Reporting at the Spring meeting, on behalf of the Party Committee and leaders of the Presidential Office, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office Pham Thanh Ha said that in 2025, the Presidential Office united, joined forces, and unanimously overcame difficulties and challenges, actively and proactively researched and advised to serve well the domestic and foreign affairs activities of the President and Vice President, and excellently completed the political tasks of the agency.
Speaking to congratulate CBCCVCLĐ on the New Year, President Luong Cuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the Office for seriously grasping the directives of the Secretariat and the Prime Minister, organizing well the Tet care for CBCCVCLĐ; and at the same time being proactive and thoughtful in advising and serving the activities of the President and Vice President according to the assignment of the Politburo and the Secretariat.
Right in the period before, during and after the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, the Office advised and assisted the President and Vice President in directing the implementation of the contents in implementing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress and the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress.
Along with that are foreign affairs activities, especially the implementation of the "Homeland Spring" Program with activities and meetings of the President with overseas Vietnamese across five continents, warm and meaningful.
Activities related to national defense, security, and visiting and encouraging armed forces on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year are also being thoroughly implemented. Along with that is the implementation of activities of State leaders related to the preparation for the 16th National Assembly election.
Celebrating the new spring but not forgetting tasks
Sharing about the country's development journey, the President emphasized the great achievements after nearly 40 years of renovation, from a difficult economy, with a per capita income of just over 100 USD, to now Vietnam has become a middle-income country, with GDP per capita exceeding 5,000 USD, and the scale of the economy reaching over 500 billion USD. These results demonstrate the correct leadership of the Party, the consensus of the entire people and the important contribution of the political system at all levels.
Referring to the arrangement of the organizational structure and the implementation of the two-level local government model from July 1, 2025, the President said that initial positive results have been achieved, but it is necessary to continue to draw experience and improve the organizational structure to operate smoothly, effectively, and efficiently, truly close to the people, close to the people, and serve the people better.
Praising the spirit of responsibility and efforts of the contingent of officials, civil servants, public employees and laborers, the President also frankly pointed out that, in the face of increasingly high requirements of tasks in the new period, the Presidential Office needs to continue to innovate more strongly; strengthen learning, research, and improve the quality of advice; closely follow the functions, tasks, and powers of the President and Vice President to make timely, accurate, and effective proposals.
The President requested the Office to promote the tradition of more than 80 years of building and growing, maintain solidarity, uphold the spirit of responsibility, "celebrate the new spring but do not forget tasks", determined to complete better than the previous year, the next term must be higher than the previous term; expressed his belief that the collective of the Presidential Office will continue to strive, both doing and learning from experience, constantly improving the quality and efficiency of work, contributing to the entire Party and people to bring the country to rapid and sustainable development.
