Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Luong Cuong acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the outstanding results and achievements that the officers and soldiers of the 12th Corps have achieved through solidarity and efforts to overcome difficulties in the past time.
President Luong Cuong emphasized that in the coming time, the 12th Army Corps will continue to focus on leading and directing the successful implementation of the goals and tasks of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 11th Army Party Congress.
Promote the action movement of "being proud of tradition, continuing to write achievements", constantly strive, overcome difficulties, excellently complete tasks, worthy of being the "elite, compact, strong", main, strategically mobile Corps of the Vietnam People's Army.
The President also requested the 12th Army Corps to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Homeland Protection Strategy in the new situation in the spirit of the 13th Central Committee Resolution 8; proactively develop and perfect combat plans according to the new deployment; improve mobility, respond to and effectively handle non-traditional security situations and challenges, contributing to maintaining a peaceful and stable environment for national construction and development.
Focus on leading and directing the careful preparation of all aspects and the successful organization of Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, especially in terms of documents and personnel participating in Party committees at all levels. Continue to promote the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", and resolutely fight against individualism in the new situation.
The President also pointed out that the 12th Army Corps needs to actively innovate methods and improve the quality of logistics and technical support for missions; promote increased production and practice thrift, pay attention to ensuring good material and spiritual life for soldiers; effectively manage, exploit and use weapons and technical equipment in the establishment, especially new and modern weapons.
In addition, continue to coordinate well with local Party committees, authorities and people in the stationed areas to build a "people's heart position", a solid defense area, build a national defense foundation, a national defense position associated with a strong people's security position; strengthen the building of a solid relationship between the army and the people, continue to take the lead in helping people prevent and overcome the consequences of natural disasters and epidemics, search and rescue, and perform tasks well in peacetime.
The President believes that with high determination and the spirit of “speed, determination to fight, determination to win”, the officers and soldiers of the entire 12th Army Corps will unite, overcome difficulties, and excellently complete the assigned tasks; contribute to firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland, maintaining a peaceful environment, stabilizing the country’s development; and together with the whole country firmly enter a new era - the era of the Vietnamese people’s rise for peace, independence, democracy, wealth, prosperity, civilization, happiness, and steady progress towards socialism.
Previously, President Luong Cuong and his delegation visited, encouraged and presented gifts to soldiers of Air Defense Brigade 241, Army Corps 12.
