According to VNA, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong affirmed that this visit of the delegation is of great significance, contributing to further strengthening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Azerbaijan in general and bilateral cooperation between the judicial agencies of the two countries in particular.
The President emphasized that Vietnam's consistent policy is to continuously strengthen friendly relations with traditional friends, including Azerbaijan. Many Vietnamese students who were trained in Azerbaijan have now become key officials in many ministries and branches, this is a strong bond of friendship between the people of Vietnam and Azerbaijan.
Announcing to the President the results of working with the Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam, the Director of the Procuracy said that the two sides have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation, thereby contributing to deepening and substantially implementing the relationship between the two Departments.
The President said that in the judicial field, Vietnam has identified "continuing to build a professional, modern, fair, strict, honest Vietnamese judiciary, serving the Fatherland and the people" as one of the important tasks in the process of building and perfecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam's rule of law state.
Currently, Vietnam is carrying out a revolution of streamlining the apparatus of the entire political system, including the system of judicial agencies, to meet the requirements of the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation.
Welcoming the Vietnam Supreme People's Procuracy and the Azerbaijan Supreme People's Procuracy to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation during this visit, the President believes that this document will create an important legal basis for the Procuracy of the two countries to carry out bilateral cooperation activities that both sides are interested in in in order to improve the effectiveness of the work.
To make the cooperation results between the two countries' Procuracies more practical and effective, the President suggested that the two sides regularly exchange delegations at all levels to visit, work and conduct research to enhance friendship and mutual understanding; closely cooperate in training and fostering officers and prosecutors of the two sides; actively support each other's initiatives in multilateral international cooperation forums of which the two countries are members.
The President firmly believes that, through this visit, bilateral cooperation between the two Supreme Procuracies will have many positive breakthroughs, contributing to deepening and efficiency the relationship between the two countries.
