Accordingly, the Central Propaganda Department and the Central Commission for Public Affairs into the Propaganda Department and the Central Mobilization Committee; The Central Economic Committee was renamed the Central Policy and Strategy Department.
According to the Politburo's decision, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee - was appointed Head of the Propaganda Department and the Central Mobilization.
The Politburo decided to assign Mr. Tran Luu Quang - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Economic Committee - holding the position of Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Department.
The Politburo decided that Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee, Chief of the Party Central Office - resigned as Chief of the Party Central Office.
The Politburo decided that Mr. Le Hoai Trung - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Foreign Affairs Department - stopped the position of Head of the Central Foreign Affairs Department, mobilized and appointed the position of Chief of the Party Central Office.
