At the conference, representatives of the Can Tho City delegation reported on the results of the 9th Session, the 15th National Assembly and some activities of the National Assembly Delegation at the session.



The representative of the Can Tho City delegation said that the Ninth Session of the 15th National Assembly took place right after the great success of the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee to review and decide on many important contents of historical significance, associated with the requirements of innovation, institutional improvement, and reorganization of the apparatus of the political system to develop the country quickly and sustainably.

After 35 working days (phase 1: from June 5 to May 29, 2025; phase 2: from June 11 to June 27, 2025) with a spirit of innovation, responsibility and high determination, based on urgent, careful preparation and arrangement of the scientific and effective program, the Ninth Session of the 15th National Assembly has completed all the contents of the proposed program.

The National Assembly has reviewed and approved the Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; passed 34 laws and 13 resolutions on legal norms, giving opinions on 6 other draft laws; reviewed and decided to reorganize provincial-level administrative units, shorten the term of the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term, decided on the election date for the 16th National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, established a National Election Council; reviewed and decided on the organization and personnel work under its authority.
In addition, the National Assembly reviewed and decided on the contents of socio-economics, finance, state budget, investment policies for important projects; conducted questioning and answering questions; reviewed reports on the synthesis of voters and people's recommendations, reported the results of monitoring the settlement of voters' recommendations, and a number of other important contents.
