National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man believes that the Vietnamese community in Mongolia will continue to cultivate the increasingly developing friendly relations between the two countries.

Within the framework of the official visit to Mongolia, on the afternoon of September 9 local time, in the capital Ulaanbaatar, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga and the high-level Vietnamese delegation met with officials and staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Mongolia, according to VNA.

Speaking at the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that Vietnam - Mongolia have a long-standing traditional friendly relationship. Although the geographical distance between the two countries is an obstacle, the space for cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia is still very large. Strengthening air and rail connectivity in the future will create more favorable conditions for people-to-people exchanges, tourism development and freight transport between the two countries.

The National Assembly Chairwoman affirmed that the Party and State always identify the overseas Vietnamese community as an important and inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation. This is not only an important resource for the cause of national construction and development but also a bridge contributing to strengthening friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and countries around the world.

The National Assembly Chairwoman said that the recommendations and difficulties of the people will be studied and considered by domestic functional agencies in coordination with the Embassy to have appropriate solutions to promote cooperation between the two countries as well as better support the Vietnamese community in Mongolia.

Referring to specific issues in the relationship between the two countries, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the two countries also need to continue to remove issues related to animal quarantine and food safety to expand the list of import and export goods. Bilateral trade turnover in 2025 reached about 155 million USD, although it has increased sharply compared to before, it is still low compared to the potential and good political relations between the two countries.

The National Assembly Chairwoman requested representatives of ministries and sectors to participate in the working delegation to continue to learn and study solutions to effectively implement the high-level agreements reached, contributing to increasing trade turnover and expanding cooperation in many fields.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man reminded the Embassy to regularly and promptly provide information about the country's situation, the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws to the Vietnamese community in Mongolia; continue to pay attention to preserving and promoting national cultural identity, especially maintaining Vietnamese for the young generation born and raised in Mongolia; strengthen solidarity, mutual support and strictly comply with the regulations and laws of the host country.

The National Assembly Chairwoman believes that the Vietnamese community in Mongolia will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, strive to rise up, stabilize their lives, make positive contributions to the host country, and always look towards their homeland, contributing to fostering the traditional friendly relationship between Vietnam and Mongolia to become increasingly developed.
