At the invitation of Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Cho Jeong Sik and his wife, Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament Sandag Byambatsogt and his wife, on September 6, Politburo Member, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Thanh Man and his wife Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga and the high-level Vietnamese delegation left Hanoi Capital for an official visit to Korea and Mongolia from September 6-11.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man's official visit to Korea and Mongolia is of great significance, contributing to the implementation of the Party's Foreign Policy Guidelines of the 14th National Congress and Resolution No. 06-NQ/TW of the Politburo, and at the same time continuing to concretize the orientations and agreements of senior leaders with the two partners.
The visit affirmed Vietnam's appreciation and desire to continue to bring the Vietnam - Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the Vietnam - Mongolia Comprehensive Partnership to develop more substantively, effectively and sustainably in the long term.
The first official visit of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to the two countries in his capacity as Chairman of the National Assembly shows the importance of bilateral relations and the important role of the parliamentary channel in the overall foreign relations of Vietnam with Korea and Mongolia.
