Chairman of the Czech National Assembly begins official visit to Vietnam

The visit to Vietnam by Chairman of the Czech National Assembly Milos Vystrcil lasts from November 18 to 22, 2025.

On the afternoon of November 18, Chairman of the Czech National Assembly Milos Vystrcil arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, starting an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, from November 18 to 22, 2025.

Welcoming the delegation at Tan Son Nhat International Airport were Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Mr. Don Tuan Phong, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for National Defense, Security and External Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Minh Que, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs.

Accompanying Chairman of the Czech Senate Milos Vystrcil on an official visit to Vietnam was Mr. Martin Frelich, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic;

Mr. Zdeněk nowra, member of the European Union's Committee on European Affairs, Czech National Assembly;

Ms. Jana Mračkova Vildumetzova, Member of the Committee for Foreign Affairs, National Defense and Security, Czech National Assembly;

Mr. Josef Klement, Member of the Committee for Education, Science, Culture, Human Rights and Propaganda, Czech National Assembly;

Mr.aclav Laska, Member of the Committee for Foreign Affairs, National Defense and Security, National Assembly of the Czech Republic;

Mr. Ondřej Lochman, Member of the Economic, Agricultural and Transport Committee, Czech National Assembly;

Ms. Dana Kovařikova, Director of the Diplomatic Academy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic; Ms. Sue Nguyen, Chief of the Office of the President of the Czech National Assembly; Ms. Věra Jelinkova, Advisor to the President of the Czech National Assembly.

Mr. Milos Vystrcil was born on August 10, 1960 in Dačice, Czech Republic; graduated in applied Mathematics and Physics from Masaryk University, Czech Republic.

He was Vice Principal of Otokar Březina High School from 1992-1998, Mayor of Telč City from 1998-2001, Provincial Governor of Vysočina Province from 2004-2008, lecturer at the University of Technology in Jihlava from 2008-2009, Secretary of the 52-Jihlava region from 2010-2014, Vice President of the October Democratic Party (ODS) and President of the ODS Senators' Club from 2014-2022.

From 2020 to present, he has been the Chairman of the Czech National Assembly.

The official visit of Chairman of the Czech National Assembly Milos Vystrcil to Vietnam is of great significance, in order to continue affirming Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, diversification, proactiveness, and active, comprehensive, extensive and effective international integration.

The visit shows that parliamentary channel cooperation is an important pillar in the bilateral relationship; at the same time, it affirms the determination of both countries to strengthen connectivity, promote cooperation, and develop the Vietnam - Czech relationship to new heights.
