At the meeting, Member of the Party Central Committee, State Auditor General Nguyen Huu Nghia stated clearly that in 2026, the sector has made efforts to comprehensively complete the work plans assigned by the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, and agencies.

The State Audit Office shall inspect, evaluate, verify, clarify the audited contents, continue to detect and conclude with full evidence, legal basis and resolutely propose financial handling, violations, and shortcomings of the audited agencies and units.
The State Audit Office proposed financial handling of more than 80,000 billion VND and 4.7 million USD. The number in 8 months is almost double compared to 2025.

The State Audit Office has promoted the synchronous implementation of tasks and solutions on preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity in the industry as well as through audit activities.
In the first 8 months of 2026, the State Audit Office of Vietnam provided 193 audit reports and related documents to the Central Inspection Committee, investigating agencies and other competent state agencies to serve investigation, inspection, and supervision work.
Especially until today (September 21), according to Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia, information has been provided and dossiers of 13 cases with signs of crime have been transferred to the investigating agency for investigation and clarification.
Regarding the expected audit plan for 2027, the State Auditor General said that it is determined to focus on auditing state budget finalization reports with 100% of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, central agencies, and localities.

The appraisal agency also noted the selection of tasks based on risk assessment and key identification; for new guidelines and policies issued in 2026, not requiring comprehensive assessment when time, data and practical basis are not sufficient.
