As of 8 pm on September 21, Road Traffic Police Team No. 3, Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police is still coordinating to clear the scene of a traffic accident that occurred on Song Pha Pass section passing through Lam Son commune, Khanh Hoa province.
According to initial information, the accident occurred at about 5:30 pm on the same day at Km213+300 National Highway 27, in the Song Pha pass area, Lam Son commune.
At the above time, a tractor-trailer truck with license plate 50H-25XXX pulling a semi-trailer with license plate 50RM-07XXX driven by driver N.X. T (born in 1987, residing in Thanh Hoa province) was traveling in the direction of Lam Dong - Khanh Hoa.
When moving through the pass area, rain made the road surface slippery. The driver lost control, causing the car to plunge into the ravine on the right side in the direction of movement.
The accident injured driver T and was taken to Don Duong Medical Center, Lam Dong province, for emergency treatment.
The vehicle involved in the accident was carrying durian. Initial property damage is estimated at about 200 million VND.
After the accident occurred, functional forces were present at the scene to handle the incident. By 8 pm on the same day, scene clearance work was still being implemented.
Functional forces continue to investigate the scene, clarify the cause of the accident, and urgently remove the damaged vehicle from the area.
Functional agencies recommend that vehicle drivers when traveling through mountain passes and slopes in bad weather conditions need to reduce speed, maintain a safe distance and pay attention to observation to limit the risk of accidents.
