On August 8 (local time), within the framework of a state visit to Angola, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong visited the ruling People's Liberation Movement Party Headquarters of Angola (MPLA) and worked with Vice President of Mara Quiosa and members of the MPLA Board of Directors.
President Luong Cuong and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation visited the MPLA Party Headquarters in the warm welcome of nearly a thousand MPLA party members in traditional Party costumes and choreographed the congratulatory messages to the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation.
Vice President of MPLA Mara Quiosa and the MPLA Party Committee expressed their honor and honor to welcome Politburo member of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Luong Cuong, emphasizing that the visit is beyond political and diplomatic significance, not only strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two Parties and two countries but also a visit of comrades and brothers on both sides of the ocean.
President Luong Cuong thanked the warm and warm welcome that comrade Mara Quiosa, the Board of Directors and many party members of the MPLA Party gave to the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation.
Congratulating the impressive achievements that Angola has achieved under the wise leadership of the MPLA Party and Mr. President and Chairman of the MPLA Party Joao Manuel Goncalves Lourenco, the President believes that the MPLA Party will continue to unite to build a strong Party, become the core of social cohesion of Angola, continue to lead the country's people to achieve even greater achievements, thereby enhancing the role and position of the MPLA Party in the political life of Angola.
Expressing his admiration for Vietnam's great achievements in all aspects, Vice President Mara Quiosa affirmed that MPLA always attaches importance to the friendship, solidarity, and brotherhood with the Communist Party of Vietnam and wishes to develop the relationship between the two Parties to be more closely and extensively connected to bring benefits to the people of the two countries.
She said that over the past 50 years, the MPLA Party has been proud to accompany the Communist Party of Vietnam and is grateful for the help of the Party and State of Vietnam in difficult times as well as the glory of Angola.
Regarding the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries, the President recalled the anniversary of the historic visit to Vietnam in 1971 by President of the MPLA Party, the first President of Angola, Mr. Agostinho Neto, emphasizing that the comrade-brother relationship built from the period of national liberation struggle between the MPLA Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam is an invaluable common asset that the younger generations of the two countries today need to continue to preserve and promote.
In order to continue to strengthen trust and solidarity between the two ruling parties, creating a premise to further promote the friendly cooperation between the two countries, the two leaders agreed that the two parties should increase contacts and delegation exchanges at all levels, share experiences in leadership and national governance, build a strong Party, educate political ideology, train cadres and party members and encourage friendship and cooperation between socio-political organizations to contribute to enhancing understanding between the people of the two countries, building a united and mutually supportive young generation.
On this occasion, President Luong Cuong conveyed the invitation of the leaders of the Communist Party of Vietnam, inviting the Vice President of the MPLA Party to visit Vietnam at an appropriate time. Ms. Mara Quiosa happily accepted.
