The Ministry of the Interior has completed and sent comments on the draft report and draft Law on cadres and civil servants (amended). The draft law is expected to submit to the National Assembly at the 9th session.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, the countries most stipulate the retirement age of 60-65 years old but for some fields of technical, high expertise, advisors, experts can last up to 75 years old. Countries also stipulate early retirement regime when civil servants have ensured the number of years of work, wishing to leave early to do business and care for elderly parents and children.
Therefore, the Ministry of Home Affairs said that Vietnam should refer to the experience of countries in the regulation of retirement before age and for some areas of high technical requirements, experts and advisers can extend retirement age to 70 years old.
Talking to labor, Prof. Dr. Giang Thanh Long - Senior Lecturer of National Economics University - said that when faced with the aging of the population, all countries take advantage of resources from highly qualified, experienced retired people, high gray content contributed to the economy.
He stated that many lecturers at the National Economics University were 68-70 years old still working and scientific research. Because, this makes them feel comfortable, healthy enough, enjoy the flexible working environment, regardless of age and receive respect from colleagues.

"Authorities need to study and analyze specific factors such as health, occupation, position, working environment when building laws. Elderly working people must also be assessed for fair labor, ensuring labor productivity ..." - Mr. Giang Thanh Long said.
According to Mr. Giang Thanh Long, it is possible to calculate the "hard retirement age" and "soft retirement age". Pensioners can continue to work if they are healthy, psychological, voluntary and can rest at any time according to personal aspirations.
For example, the leading doctor who goes to work after enough "hard retirement age", the years of "soft retirement age" must be calculated higher retirement regime for years of work to encourage them to contribute.
In the same opinion, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Thi An - Member of the XIII National Assembly - said that those with intelligence, well -trained, capable of contributing, their retirement age will be beneficial to society.
Ms. Bui Thi An proposed to have the calculation of retirement age by subjects and industries. Depending on the different working conditions, there is a different retirement age, it cannot be scratched.
According to the Labor Code 2019, the retirement age of workers in normal working conditions is adjusted according to the roadmap until enough 62 years for male workers in 2028 and 60 years old for female workers by 2035.
Workers with high qualifications, high -tech and some special cases may retire at a higher age but not more than 5 years older than the provisions of the Labor Code 2019 at the time of retirement, unless otherwise prescribed by law.
