At the ceremony, Can Tho City Police announced the Decisions of the Minister of Public Security on ending the activities of District and District Police and affiliated organizations in the city according to the roadmap for reorganizing the new apparatus; Decision on retirement for 13 leaders at the department and district levels according to the regime; Decision on promotion of ranks for two leaders; Decision on transferring cadres to key leadership positions according to the new organizational model.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Van Thuan - Director of Can Tho City Police acknowledged and praised the important contributions of the comrades in the past time.
Major General Nguyen Van Thuan emphasized that the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus is a major policy of the Ministry of Public Security, aiming to improve operational efficiency, increase forces for grassroots police, and meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
The Director of Can Tho City Police Department suggested that retired comrades continue to promote the qualities and bravery of People's Public Security soldiers, actively participating in ensuring security and order in the locality. At the same time, units with retired leaders need to urgently hand over documents and work in accordance with regulations.
For the transferred comrades, the Director of Can Tho City Police emphasized the sense of responsibility and requirement to immediately get to work, ensuring no interruption or affecting professional tasks. Units need to quickly deploy organization, personnel and complete the apparatus according to the plan of the City Police.
"After implementing the decision, units must immediately start working from March 1, 2025, without interruption, especially in the investigation field. In addition, units must hand over records, documents, and equipment for working vehicles according to plan, ensuring safety and avoid loss.
Party committees and leaders of units need to quickly complete the documents and procedures for party transfer for the transferred comrades, propose to establish a Party Committee if qualified, and urgently complete the personnel plan and documents of the Party Congress in accordance with the regulations of the City Police Party Committee, emphasized the Director of Can Tho City Police.
