On the afternoon of August 4, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, the Central Theoretical Council, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to organize a workshop with the theme "People's Public Security (CAND) promotes the heroic revolutionary tradition, under the glorious flag of the Party, firmly moving the country into a new era of development".
This is one of the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).
Chaired a workshop of Politburo members: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
The workshop was attended by former leaders of the Party and State: Former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, former Standing member of the Secretariat Le Hong Anh. Also attending were Party Central Committee Secretaries: Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri; Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission Tran Luu Quang.
At the beginning of the Workshop, delegates listened to the Letter sent by General Secretary To Lam.
The letter clearly states: "Over the past 80 years, under the absolute, direct and comprehensive leadership of the Party; being respectfully organized, educated and trained by President Ho Chi Minh, the People's Public Security force has constantly grown strongly and matured, always maintaining the qualities of "steel shield", "sharp sword" to protect the Party, protect the State and the People, "only know that while there is the Party, there is only one".
In that historical flow, every feat and sacrifice of the People's Public Security officers and soldiers is a noble symbol of absolute loyalty, steadfastness and dedication to serving the people.
In his opening speech, General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security - emphasized that the event aims to affirm the feats and achievements of the Vietnam People's Public Security revolution.
This is also an occasion for the People's Public Security force to affirm its determination to promote the glorious tradition, strive, not mind hardship or danger, be ready to fight, sacrifice, maintain a peaceful and stable environment, maintain security and order in all situations.
The People's Public Security Forces, together with the entire Party, people and army, successfully implemented the Party's strategic policies, bringing the country firmly into a new era, an era of development, prosperity and prosperity.

Honoring outstanding achievements, outstanding feats and revolutionary heroic traditions of the People's Public Security Forces over the past 80 years; the protection and assistance of the people and effective coordination with sectors, especially the People's Army, always closely following the People's Public Security Forces in building and defending the Fatherland; deeply analyzing the meaning and role of the National Day for National Security Protection, to promote the position of the people's heart in the national defense and people's security.
