Recognizing Hoa Binh city as a type II urban area

On January 7, the Prime Minister signed a decision to recognize Hoa Binh city as a type II urban area, directly under Hoa Binh province.

Accordingly, the urban area of ​​Hoa Binh city includes the entire existing administrative boundary with a total natural area of ​​348.65 km2.

The inner city area is expected to include the entire administrative boundaries of 12 existing wards and 1 commune expected to be established as a ward (Mong Hoa commune) with a total natural area of ​​169.87 km2.

The suburban area is expected to include the entire administrative boundaries of 06 existing communes with a total natural area of ​​178.78 km2.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministers of Construction and Home Affairs; Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province and Heads of relevant agencies to be responsible for implementing this decision.

This Decision comes into force from the date of signing and promulgation.
