On the afternoon of December 27, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and directed the Conference to summarize the work in 2025, term 2021 - 2025 and deploy key tasks for 2026 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the Ministry and the culture, sports and tourism sector are one of the sectors that must be pioneers in implementing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress and especially the Resolution of the Politburo, the national target program on culture.
The Prime Minister requested the Ministry and sectors of culture, sports and tourism to study and thoroughly grasp 3 key orientational viewpoints, including: "Innovative thinking - drastic action - towards the ultimate goal"; "Culture permeating - communication spreading - sports reaching out - tourism breakthrough"; Culture is the spiritual foundation, inborn strength, development driving force - sports are symbols of strength, will and national stature - tourism is connecting people with people, economy with economy, culture with culture, connecting peace, friendship, cooperation, development - communication is trust, is hope, creates consensus, is an important bridge between the Party, State and the People.
Towards the new year 2026 with 8 groups of key tasks and solutions, the Prime Minister requested the sector to focus on the following tasks:
Thoroughly grasp and organize the effective and substantive implementation of the Party and State's guidelines, policies.
Continue to make strong breakthroughs in institutions, policies, laws, institutionalize the Party's guidelines and policies, resolutely abandon the mindset of "not knowing but still managing", "if not managing, then prohibiting"; thoroughly grasp the spirit of "whoever does best is assigned"; assign tasks according to the spirit of "6 clear: clear people, clear tasks, clear responsibilities, clear authority, clear time, clear results".
Continue to promote the arrangement and streamlining of the organizational structure, meeting the requirements of implementing the 2-level local government model, especially at the commune level.
Focus on developing an advanced Vietnamese culture, rich in national identity, building a comprehensively developed Vietnamese people, building a humane, civilized, and modern cultural environment.
In which, it is necessary to mobilize and effectively use resources, especially public-private partnerships in promoting and exploiting stadiums such as My Dinh Stadium, the Village of Culture and Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups... Developing grassroots culture suitable for local authorities at 2 levels; building a bright - green - clean - beautiful grassroots cultural community. Building a cultural posture associated with national defense and security, consolidating ideological cultural defense lines. Innovating cultural management methods in the direction of creation and service. Proactively and actively integrating internationally, promoting Vietnamese cultural values, absorbing the quintessence of human culture, increasing national soft power; internationalizing a culture imbued with national identity and nationalizing the world civilization.
Creating breakthroughs in Vietnam's sports development, investing with a long-term, persistent spirit, "if you don't start, there will never be a end point". Investing, upgrading, modernizing and maximizing the effectiveness of key sports facilities, especially strongly innovating thinking, promoting public-private partnerships, including international-scale stadiums.
Restructuring, improving quality and competitiveness, making tourism truly become a key economic sector. Striving to welcome 25 million international tourists in 2026.
Promoting the pioneering role of the press and media in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, especially in the process of preparing and organizing the 14th National Party Congress well.
Promote the application of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and complete the construction of a database for the culture, sports and tourism sector in the first quarter of 2026.
