After a day and a half of intensive work, the 18th Da Nang City Party Committee Conference concluded on December 10. One of the most important decisions was the choice of the theme for 2025: “A year focusing on streamlining the apparatus associated with cutting administrative procedures, effectively implementing urban government organization and specific mechanisms and policies to strongly promote economic growth”.
The conference highly appreciated the unity in implementing the goals of Party building and rectification and the political system, as set out by the 22nd Congress of the City Party Committee. In 2025, the focus will continue to be on drafting documents and personnel plans, especially streamlining the administrative apparatus in accordance with the direction of the Central and City Party Committees. This arrangement and streamlining will lead to certain adjustments in personnel plans.
Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, emphasized the importance of instilling this spirit in all cadres and party members. He asked everyone to focus on political tasks and economic development, avoiding the situation of “waiting for arrangement”, “fear of collision” or activities of “polishing one’s name” to compete for positions. This is a time to test the mettle of Party committees and leaders at all levels, and at the same time, it is also a measure of each cadre’s capacity in the new context.
In 2025, Da Nang aims to achieve GRDP growth of over 10%, while effectively implementing the Central Government's mechanisms and policies. The city is also determined to take the lead in digital transformation in Party agencies, in accordance with the Central Government's requirements and local realities.
To achieve these ambitious goals, Da Nang has identified 5 key tasks and solutions: Breakthrough growth. Focus on implementing tasks and solutions to achieve high growth from the first quarter of 2025.
Strongly promote the tourism industry, focus resources on promoting and exploiting new tourism products, especially during the Lunar New Year and the 50th anniversary of the city's liberation. The goal is to improve both efficiency and quality compared to 2024.
Regarding industrial development, put into operation Cam Le and Hoa Lien industrial clusters; exploit land fund of Hoa Cam Industrial Park phase 1 and complete investment procedures for Hoa Nhon Industrial Park in the first quarter of 2025.
Strive for total state budget revenue to exceed 10% of the estimate assigned by the Central Government.
Site clearance and public investment disbursement must be thoroughly decentralized, human resources must be effectively arranged, administrative procedures must be cut, and inappropriate regulations must be abolished to speed up site clearance and public investment disbursement.
Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang also emphasized the need to maintain and strengthen Da Nang's typical social security policies such as "City of 5 no's and 3 yes's", "City of 4 safe", tuition support, etc. Taking care of people's lives, especially families with meritorious services and poor households during the Lunar New Year and the 50th anniversary of the city's liberation is a top priority. The health sector is required to immediately overcome the shortage of medicine and medical equipment.
2025 will be an important year for Da Nang, marking a turning point in the process of innovation and modernization. The reorganization and streamlining of the apparatus is not only a political goal but also a foundation for promoting economic growth and improving the quality of life of the people.
