The National Assembly delegate said that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety is tracing the origin of cigarette butts and taking samples to test whether additives are detected or not.

In recent days, the story of the intestines of the pigs (a type of feod - the small intestine of the pigs) has attracted the attention and debate of netizens. Accordingly, social networks spread a video about a 40m long, 5.8kg feast of pork belly at a restaurant.

This video later caused controversy about authenticity, many people thought it was just a trick to attract customers and suspected that this cigarette butter was pheped from the normal pig's intestines and soaked in harmful chemicals.

On May 6, in the hallway of the National Assembly, National Assembly delegate Pham Khanh Phong Lan - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety (Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation) answered the press about the incident of cigarette butts being sold a lot on the market that is causing a stir in public opinion.

According to the female delegate, this could be a commercial scam to increase profits, and cigarette butts are very rare and difficult to find in the market.

The Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety said that this agency is conducting an origin tracing test, taking samples to test whether additives have been detected or not.

"This issue (cigarette line) has not been given much attention so far, the Department mainly focuses on pork," said the delegate.
