On the morning of October 12, at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee, term 2025-2030, held a half-time session. Politburo member, Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the meeting.
The advisory session was attended by Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries, Party Central Committee members, Deputy Secretaries of the Government Party Committee, members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Prime Ministers, leaders of ministries, branches and agencies.
At the adjournment session, the Congress elected the Presidium, the Secretariat, the Delegation of Delegation Reviewing; approved the working program, working regulations of the Congress; announced the assignment of discussion groups, and provided discussion instructions at the Congress and at the groups.
The 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee, term 2025-2030, is the first Congress of the Government Party Committee according to the new organizational model, taking place in the context of the entire Party, people, and army striving and determined to successfully complete the socio-economic development goals for 2025 and the 5 years 2021-2025; competing to achieve achievements to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Held on October 12-13, the Congress has the theme "Building a clean and strong Government Party Committee; solidarity, exemplary leadership in science, technology, innovation, digital transformation; accelerating breakthroughs, developing the country quickly and sustainably in the era of rising up, being rich, civilized, prosperous, and happy".
The Congress's motto is: "Solidarity, discipline - Democracy, innovation - Breakthrough in development - Near people, close to the people".
The Congress will summarize and evaluate the results of the work for the 2020-2025 term, review the leadership and direction of the Government Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; determine the direction, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term; discuss and contribute opinions to the draft of the Central Committee's Documents to the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Recently, the Government Party Committee has issued plans, instructions, leadership, and direction to strictly implement the Directives and Conclusions of the Politburo, regulations and instructions of the Central Committee on organizing Party congresses at all levels and preparations for the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
By August 28, 2025, 100% of the Party Committees and Party cells under the Party have completed the organization of the Congress, ensuring the content and progress as required.
The draft documents submitted to the Congress are drafted seriously, methodically, scientifically, intellectually, democratically and in accordance with regulations.
On the occasion of the Congress, the Government Party Committee directed the organization of a photo exhibition on the achievements and results of the 2021-2025 term of the affiliated Party Committees; exhibition of scientific and technological achievements, innovation and digital transformation; exhibition of achievements in economic, cultural and social development.
