The 1st Congress of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee is scheduled to take place from September 22 to 24 at the Provincial Cultural Center with 446 delegates, representing more than 140,000 Party members in the entire Party Committee.
This is the first congress after Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan merged and operate a two-level government model, this event opens a new development phase with many expectations of change.
Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Binh emphasized that in the 2020-2025 term, Thai Nguyen has overcome difficulties, achieved important and comprehensive results in many fields.
The economy continues to maintain growth, budget revenue in 2025 is estimated at nearly VND 25,000 billion, 1.7 times higher than at the beginning of the term, GRDP per capita reaches VND 119 million.
The province maintains its position as the leading group in the country in industrial production and export value, while maintaining national defense and political security, Party building and the political system continue to be strengthened.
Mr. Nguyen Dang Binh affirmed that the congress took place at a special time, demonstrating the political determination of the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups to build Thai Nguyen to develop rapidly and sustainably in the new period.
The preparation for the congress has been carried out meticulously and scientifically, the congress documents are highly appreciated by the Politburo, the personnel and service work has been basically completed, ready for the opening ceremony.
Many celebration activities were held, including photo exhibitions, tea awarding spaces, displaying typical products, attaching signs of key projects, art programs and fireworks in the city center.
Mr. Nguyen Dang Binh also acknowledged and thanked the press for their support in spreading the image and promoting the potential and strengths of the province, and at the same time hoped to continue to receive coordination in the coming time.
Previously, on September 16, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee held a press conference to provide official information to the press on preparation work, regulations on working at the press center and answer related contents.
